Name:  Mosquito Spraying

Location:  Residential Streets

Description:  The City of Dallas will spray for mosquitoes in Lake Forest on Sunday, July 15th, after 10:00 p.m. This is done by driving a pickup truck with a low-volume sprayer/fogger down the residential streets. Alleys are not sprayed. This sprayer uses one of two approved chemicals and the equipment is checked and calibrated.

Currently the city does not spray unless there has been a confirmed case of West Nile virus in the area. A mosquito trap on Helsem Way, just north of Lake Forest, confirmed this and prompted the spraying in our area.

All residents are urged to stay inside, bring your pets inside, and move your vehicles off the street during this time.
