Crime Alert

(Posted: September 22, 2009)

  - Crime Alert: Sometime between midnight and 6:00 AM Monday morning there were 2 unpleasant incidents at Lake Forest. Thieves attempted to steal a 10 year old Honda from an alley in The Park. The vehicle was parked outside the garage in the rear driveway. A back window was left slightly open and the thieves broke in and attempted to “hot-wire” the car. For whatever reason, they left without the car and proceeded to Edgestone. On Edgestone, they stole a 2000 Grey Chevy pickup. Apparently older vehicles have less sophisticated alarm systems and are thus easier to steal.

Based on the entry logs at the various gates; there were no vehicles without toll tag access entering Lake Forest during those hours. Therefore, BE DILIGENT – BE ALERT – BE SMART! If you have room in your garage; use it. If not, keep your vehicles locked.

  - Please be advised that construction on rebuilding the retaining wall near the Pool Pavilion is scheduled to start on or about Monday, August 17th and is anticipated to take approximately 30 days. During that time, the pool path will be closed. Please utilize any one of the other walking paths during that time.

The exit side of the Main entry will be closed for up to 2 weeks. During that time, vehicular traffic will have to be re-routed to the Pool Gate while this work is being completed.

During the construction process, please keep away from any of the equipment and make sure your children and grandchildren do the same.

The construction company, SBB, and your Board have worked very hard to make this project go as smooth as possible. Yes, there will be inconveniences, but we will try to keep them to a minimum.
